JobsU, Inc. ("JobsU," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you access or use the JobsU platform, including our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Platform.

JobsU may use automated processes and algorithms to operate the Platform, including to match Service Providers with nearby jobs, surface relevant recommendations, detect fraudulent activity, screen for suspicious transactions, and help enforce our Terms of Service. These automated processes may consider factors such as location, ratings, job history, stated availability, and account activity.
JobsU does not currently use fully automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users without human involvement. Significant account actions, such as permanent suspension or removal from the Platform, are reviewed by JobsU personnel before being finalized. Where required by applicable law, you may have the right to request additional information about automated processing that affects you or to request human review; to do so, contact us at privacy@jobsu.app.

Do Not Track: Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. The Platform does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we respect your choices through the cookie management options described above.
No Accounts for Minors. The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create accounts or use the Platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has created an account or provided personal information directly to us, we will take steps to promptly delete such information and terminate the account.
Information About Children Provided by Residents. In connection with babysitting or childcare-related bookings, a Resident who is a parent or legal guardian may voluntarily provide limited information about their children to a Service Provider or through the Platform, such as a child's first name, age, allergies, dietary restrictions, medical considerations, emergency contacts, or household rules. JobsU does not solicit this information directly from children, does not require Residents to provide it, and collects it only to the extent the Resident chooses to share it to facilitate a booking.
Parental Responsibility. Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for deciding what information about their children to share with Service Providers or through the Platform, and for the accuracy and sensitivity of that information. By providing information about a child through the Platform, the Resident represents that they are the child's parent or legal guardian and have the authority to share such information.
Handling and Deletion. Any information about a minor that is provided through the Platform is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy, is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to support the booking and any related dispute or safety review, and is then deleted or anonymized. Parents and guardians may request deletion of child-related information at any time by contacting privacy@jobsu.app. If you believe a child under 18 has provided personal information to us directly, or that child-related information has been shared on the Platform in a manner inconsistent with this Policy, please contact us immediately at privacy@jobsu.app.
To verify that Service Providers are current college students, JobsU collects and verifies enrollment status through .edu email verification and, where applicable, third-party enrollment verification services.
JobsU is not a school, school official, or educational agency, and JobsU does not receive or maintain "education records" as that term is defined under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA"). The enrollment information JobsU collects is limited to confirmation of a Student's current enrollment status and basic university affiliation, provided voluntarily by the Student or obtained through third-party verification services operating under their own terms and privacy policies.
Students are responsible for understanding any privacy policies or terms of use that apply to their .edu email account or to any third-party verification service used in connection with JobsU.

JobsU will honor applicable rights under the privacy laws of your state of residence, to the extent they apply to our processing of your information. The Platform is currently operated in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States. If we expand internationally, we will comply with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where required.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by JobsU. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Platform.
