Our Story
JobsU is a marketplace platform connecting Boston-area residents with .edu-confirmed college students for flexible, on-demand help, from babysitting and yard work to moving help, pet care, and tutoring.
To give students meaningful, flexible income that fits around their academic life, and to give residents a local, campus-connected alternative to impersonal gig platforms.
Every student on JobsU is .edu-confirmed with a full profile, photo, and reviews. Residents can see who they're hiring before they book.
Students work on their own schedule, around classes, exams, and everything else college life demands.
JobsU connects campus to neighborhood, building real relationships between students and the people around them.
As a college student, I kept seeing the same gap: students who needed flexible income couldn't find work that fit around their schedule, and residents who needed reliable help had no easy way to find someone local. National gig apps weren't the answer. They were built for a different market, without the campus connection that matters when you're letting someone into your home.
I built JobsU to close that gap. A platform where every student is .edu-confirmed, where residents can see a full profile before committing, and where the entire experience, from posting to payment, happens in one place. Started in Boston. Built to grow.
